“Ayurveda” (āyus – life, veda – knowledge) is over 5,000 years of Indian tradition, which treats a person holistically – as a combination of body, mind, and spirit. Its goal is not only to treat diseases, but above all to maintain balance and harmony in life.

Thanks to Ayurveda, we can better understand ourselves, our emotions and needs, and live in harmony with our own body and mind.

Basic principles of Ayurveda

1. Understand your dosha
Each of us has a unique biological constitution – Vata, Pitta, or Kapha. Knowing your dosha helps you choose the right diet, activity, and daily rituals.

2. Diet according to your dosha

  • Vata – avoid raw and cold foods

  • Pitta – limit spicy and sour tastes

  • Kapha – light, low-fat diet

Add seasonal, local products to your meals and all six tastes: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent, and pungent.

3. Supporting Agni – the digestive fire
Eat your largest meal at noon, when your Agni is strongest. Eating in a calm environment supports digestion and well-being.

4. Hydration and herbs
Drink water throughout the day, avoiding it just before and after meals. Add herbs and spices to your dishes – they enhance flavor and support balance in the body.

5. Daily routine (Dinacharya)
Wake up early, meditate, practice breathing, take care of your morning routine, and include daily movement. Regularity is the key to health.

6. Mindfulness and self-care
Take care of your body and mind through light meals, natural clothing, oil massages, and mindful practices. Remember – everything we eat, say, and do affects our balance.

Why is it worth introducing Ayurveda into your life?

Ayurveda teaches us to respect and love who we truly are, instead of following what others think or say. It is a path to harmony, balance, and conscious living, combining the ancient wisdom of India with the daily practices of modern people.
